Help us turn this old baseball field into a

Kingdom “Field of Dreams”

JR Gardner

A Runner on a Mission

JR Gardner, the director of the YFCMP Armory Youth Center has a mission. One that includes running in the Lost Turkey Trail as a point-to-point trail, traversing the southern portion of the Allegheny front’s ridges and valleys in central Pennsylvania. This is a 50k where runners experience the best terrain and trails in PA, from gnarly single track to flat double track, heart breaking climbs and quad-busting descents. This will take place on July 29th and we are hoping you will want to sponsor him in this endeavor.

If you know JR, you know his heart in helping the teens in our communities. An important way to support youth is by building up healthy relationships with them, their families, and their communities. Having positive activities for teens is a way to do this. This happens within the walls of The Armory Youth Center and beyond.  Participation in sports is an integral part of CL Sports and the Armory Baseball League.

Help us turn this old field into something updated and beautiful. Our goal is to have a fully operational field for kids by the spring of 2024.

Here are some of the improvements we want to accomplish:

  • New fencing and dugouts

  • Updating the field from dirt to a turf surface

  • Irrigation and drainage

  • Adding a press box, refreshment stand, and restrooms

  • Lighting for night games and practices

Please help us raise $200,000!

Your generosity is so appreciated. All donations  will go toward this mission and are fully tax deductible.
