Winter Splash

January 26-28, 2024

For 48 years, we have been offering trips that have added immense value to the lives of the students who have participated as they cultivate friendships, invite adventure, and bring about discussion that engages them to think deeper about life, purpose, and Jesus.

On these adventures, youth spend time participating in amazing activities with their friends and leaders. From the beach to the forest, kids get to partake in activities such as swimming, zip-lining, singing, sports, kayaking, sled riding, talent shows, hiking, water parks, roller coasters, and so much more.

Through these activities, kids are filled with excitement and curiosity as they try new things. They begin to find themselves more connected with others and reality. They form comradery with their peers and loving trust with their leaders as they are lead through their amazing activities and wonderful discussions that enrich their view on life. Kids never go home without having formed positive relationships and feeling like they have friends to help them prosper in life.

Winter Splash

Winter Splash is Campus Life’s spectacular middle school winter weekend trip.  There will be tons of games and activities, time to hang out with peers and leaders, and time to engage in positive discussions about life, purpose, and God. This trip has a ton of fun to offer as kids grow closer with their friends, make new ones, and are inspired to grow in a relationship with God.

Planned Activities

Campus Life groups will meet up frequently at the lodge for music, games, a speaker and discussion.  The games we play are intended to break the ice and give everyone a chance to participate. We spend the afternoon at Splash Lagoon and then set up fun outdoor games and activities like sled riding and snow fort competitions in the evening back at camp.

Trip Details

Winter Splash will take place from January 26-28 at WLD Ranch, which is located just outside of Erie, PA. We will also spend a day at Splash Lagoon Indoor Water Park, located 15 minutes away from WLD Ranch!

Lodging

WLD Ranch is equipped with separate bunk houses for guys and girls.  Students bring their own bedding/sleeping bag & pillow and sleep in bunkbeds.

Meals

All meals are included. WLD prepares and serves the meals except lunch on Saturday. On Saturday at Splash Lagoon students receive a meal voucher and will purchase their lunch at the Splash Lagoon cafeteria using the voucher.

Supervision

We always say we take leaders and not just chaperones on our trips. Students will be accompanied by leaders from their Campus Life group. We maintain at least a 6:1 ratio of students to leaders and we want our leaders to spend time with the students. Safety is our top priority. Your students are kept safe and chaperoned by our certified trained leaders throughout the entirety of this trip. Students are never permitted to go off on their own and the plans for the trip are well organized to keep the kids engaged within the safety of their Campus Life groups.

Transportation

Students will be driven to the camp and to Splash Lagoon in 12-passenger vans by leaders who are all certified to drive students.

A week before the trip a briefing letter with additional information pertaining to transportation, packing and other details will be emailed to the parent or guardian whose email is entered in the student’s registration.
