Armory Mentoring

The Armory Mentoring Program is a Christ-centered, whole person, relational ministry.  Unlike most secular treatment programs, our primary goal is not to target negative behaviors and circumstances and then change them.

As a relational ministry, we believe that the real issue is a matter of the heart.  Our behaviors ultimately come from the heart.  Therefore, we believe that if we can be an agent of change in a young person’s heart, eventually their behaviors and circumstances will also change for the better.  These changes that come from the heart make a lasting impact upon the youth.

Our efforts are to form a personal, positive, long-term, trusting relationship with the youth, through which God can change their heart and help them grow personally.

Through extensive background checks and ongoing training in best practices, our mentors are fully equipped to help youth grow spiritually and emotionally.  Studies show that children who are mentored report setting higher educational goals and are more likely to attend college than those without mentors. Studies also show that students who are mentored are less likely to engage in adverse behavior such as drugs and alcohol use and are more likely to engage in productive and beneficial activities such as sports or other extracurricular programs.

If you would like more information, we would love the opportunity to talk with you personally.
